Scales won't turn on
« on: September 08, 2014, 05:06:54 am »
I have just cleaned my TMX as I have many times before, which includes turning it over on the bench and cleaning the underside.  After I assembled it all back together, my scales won't turn on :(

Any tips?

Does it need a service?  No error code, just scales won't turn on.

It's 3 years old and I've just had to replace a pair of blades, I hope this isn't the beginning of the end....

I would call your demonstrator or HO for some advice Kellie. Hopefully another member might know what caused this to happen.

Just looked in the manual and it says this
Trouble with Scales: "Check: while pressing tara button do not touch Thermomix; nothing leans against Thermomix; no tension on the cable; Thermomix ”feet“ are clean; worktop is clean, solid, even and not vibrating; do not slide Thermomix over the worktop."

Well, crisis averted.  I left it on the bench unplugged for an hour and then it worked.

Go figure, maybe I got something 'damp'  ???

Cheers
