Meagan I did receive a receipt, and notification of the order. I didn't really class it as a welcome from HO. I am not fussed by it. I feel I have all the necessary documentation, the receipt and my T5. He is busy making yoghurt at the moment. I keep watching, 8 hours is a long time to watch, I think I had better go out.
Did I say I love Mr T5. He seems to make things smoother. I made short pastry last night and it was SHORT. I will put up the review. Meagan he is a star. THANK YOU.

I got a email today advising about the cooking for you and me on chip, advertising RC, and cooking classes.

I've decided to order at the end of the month. It won't make it come quicker but will keep money in my account longer. Gives my aunt more time to save the money to buy my 31. She thinks the main reason she wants a thermomix is to mill grain. I think she will surprise herself. DH certainly agrees that the Thermomix is not a white elephant in my kitchen. If my coffee machine dies apparently it won't be replaced until I extend the house and redo the kitchen with an integrated coffee machine. That makes TM5 seem very affordable.

I got a text msg today saying mine was sent today from Perth sadly we left for holiday yesterday so will have to wait until the end of the month when we get home. In the mean time I am saving recipes that I like, can't wait to get cooking

I wouldn't buy a TMX to mill grain - I'd buy a grain mill - in fact I have a friend who bought a TMX THEN a frain mill, just like I bought my juicer AFTER the TMX. It is a good machine but it does most things at 80-90% quality of a specialised machine so if you are using it for specific things it might be better to get the proper machines for them.

I don't use my juicer at all now. It is waiting to find a new home. I admit I was surprised she didn't have grain mill already but I guess limited income, and appliance that does lots fairly well is better than no appliance or a bucket load of single purpose appliances.

Hmmm interesting, glad you got the email and T&C at least! I am pretty sure that you are also meant to get a welcome letter as well. Glad you are enjoying Mr T5

Wonder I Would just email or call your consultant. They will have a record of the order lodged on the portal. When did you order?

Hi All
Awaiting my Tm5 and wanted some advice on recipe books.I am a sucker for the pretty pictures but realistically would like to purchase ones that I will actually use. I have been using a Thermochef  for a year, been using the EDC, your forum, as well as the Recipe community  for recipe ideas.I am not a hugely adventurous cook (have got much better using thermo cooking though) and need to feed 2 teenage sons and a hubby. None of us has allergies but I have enjoyed some of Quirky Cooking's recipes, so wondered about Jo's book as well as Tenina's Keeping it Simple and For Foods Sake (get both or which is better). Any advice or suggestions welcomed Thanks

I love Tenina's recipes. They always work. Not fond of the crio bru stuff but  I work around it.

I am not at all fond of the recipe community with a lot of untested, amateurish and simply bad recipes plus a lot of them are stolen from this forum and badly tweaked. Vorwerk recipes tend to be bland and for the everyman or woman as the case may be.

I use recipes that have been tried and tested by the honest members here. If there is a problem we can fix it. We give honest reviews and we love to help so don't go spending your money of books you may not to use. Quirky Joes yes indeed and Tenina's for sure. You can find lots of lovely recipes that have been tested at superkitchenmachine.com

Some of our members have blogs which you will see in their signatures. If you are looking for something just ask. If you want to convert something and are having trouble just ask.

I would hold off buying anything until you soo what is on the recipe chip.And see how you go the the Thermomix.

I have used Nico Moretti's book "cooking for friends" a lot. And "keeping it simple" is my fave if I had to make a choice out of "for foods sake" but they're both great.
