My very first TM is on its way
« on: September 15, 2014, 11:23:20 am »
Hi I will be new to the TM world having ordered the TM5 I can't wait. I have owned a Bellini KM for close to 2 years & my partner came into some money, I was looking at buying a secondhand TM as I heard new ones coming out in September but my partner bought me the new one. It has been on my dream list for many years & now happening. I look forward to hearing what I can make in it

Hi thank you for the welcome I think it will take 20 working days to arrive & I have booked into to a cooking class on the 26th Sept so will be busy looking here for some recipes & deciding what cook books to get. I have a young family so want to be using my TM everyday for meals as at the end of the day I'm so tired. Owning a TM is  a dream come true, I love to cook but fine with the kids I don't have the time to make nice healthy meals everyday

Hi and welcome Naturalmumma,  :)
you will love your TM, glad your dream is coming true!  :D :D
I have a young family and use my TM every day - generally more than once a day. Makes life so much easier - it really is like an extra pair of hands in the kitchen.  :) :)
How old are your little ones?
:D

Astarra my little ones are aged 2, 4 & 5 years old. I'm very lucky my children eat lots of veg thanks to having our own veggie garden so we do soups & stews, wanting to try stir frys in the varoma. I all so love baking so will be looking at doing cakes & slices, I have some health issue so keen on raw foods & gluten free recipes. I have lost my love of cooking due to being so tired all the time so the TM will be a life saver for us getting back to cooking from scratch.

Thanks Judydawn I will have a look at those recipes

What great ages NM, mine are 8,5,3 & 15mths  :) so life is busy - but great!  ;D
My 5yr old is dairy intolerant so I do basically all of our food from scratch, which is so much easier with Thermie.  :D
Hope your health picks up so you can get the most from your machine.  :-* :-*

It sounds as though a thermomix is exactly what you need NM. You may find it easier to prepare the evening meal early in the day and refrigerate it. Then when it is bath time, meal time and need Mummy time all you have to do is reheat the meal.
