Hi from Stockholm, Sweden

Hi all!
Hopefully you will not kick me out, even if I just have purchased a HotMixPro Gastro instead of a Thermomix. Hopefully this forum is more about promoting a "Thermomix-type-of-cooking", than an actual brand or model!
Anyway, I am really looking forward to take my new machine for a spin!

Hello BORNER, welcome to the forum. It's a bit tricky with so many thermal machines on the market now. There are rules to follow, one being that we are not allowed to compare other machines with the TMX. The members who own the same machine as yours, do so quietly. They make our recipes but don't talk about their machines and we certainly cannot help you with any problem you may have. Our recipes are for the Thermomix and it will be up to our MM as to how much he will allow on here. By all means try our recipes and let us know how you enjoy them but remember all machines are different and the recipes may not be as successful in another machine. HMP used to have their own forum but I can't seem to find it now.

Thanks judydawn and Aussie Brenda! Yes it is really what you can do with the machine that I am after! After all they both mix and heat food in the same jug, basically. So I guess i will not have so many problems trying out most of the recipes, even if I might have to live with some workarounds now and then!

The Australian HMP forum was closed down some time ago. I THINK there may be an Italian one. One thing with the HMP is to always check that the blades are locked in tight. I blitzed some veggies one day and then proceeded to make soup. When I came back I had liquid everywhere. I hadn't checked the blades were screwed in after blitzing the veggies.
Good luck with your new machine and welcome to the forum.

Lovely to have you here Borner. Hope you enjoy the forum and perhaps you can share some of your specialities with us. The machines are different but we are all about adapting and sharing.

Welcome to the forum Borner. I don't have a thermomix either (I have a thermo chef) but have successfully made many, many recipes from this forum - you may need to adjust speeds, but the basic methods and recipes should be the same, and as you cook more and more it will become second nature.
