Dearest Gert, you are a truly remarkable woman. In your moment of deep sadness, you still manage to be pragmatic. Shows the woman of substance that you are. Thinking of you...and trying to hold back my tears (unsuccessfully). As for Ted, he's probably partying somewhere in Bangkok. Buck naked 😄😆

Again thank you all for the thoughts. It is lovely. I awoke to the lovely aroma of roses this morning having moved the flowers to my bedroom.

And BZB  "As for Ted, he's probably partying somewhere in Bangkok. Buck naked"

Nothing would surprise me. Roared with laughter.

Ted was with Qantas for nearly 45 years and I have found a file with every travel claim form he ever had. Good grief! I have reduced 6 filing drawers to one.  And that is only 1/2 full. The stuff people save amazes me. LO!

What a character he was, Gert! No surprise, since he was married to you!

I love the way you dealt with the reality of dying. We did the same with my sister, but she left before she had a chance to write her eulogy.

Cancer just sucks. My thoughts are with you. I hope that the wonderful words and thoughts expressed in this thread provides you with some comfort.

Lordy Lordy look at this. I was awoken his morning by the doorbell ringing at 0645 . Lovely guy handed me this. I wonder what it could be from the PuddleDuck  Winery!

I can't believe your neighbours are so insensitive, thoughtless and wicked. They sound absolutely dreadful. The one thing you want is peace in your own house.
