New to Thermo World
« on: August 28, 2009, 12:51:46 pm »
Hi Everyone,

I live in Sydney and have recently been introduced to the wonders of Thermomix.  I received my TMX 3 weeks ago and have used it everyday since.  I couldn't stop talking about it to the people I work with and ended up taking it in to work to show them all how good it is and to trial some recipes on them all.  I'm not easily excited about kitchen gadgets, preferring to cook traditional for most of my life.  But, this machine really impressed me.  Only 3 weeks and I could not imagine not having it in my life.  I know most people baulk at the price, but really it is the most useful machine for any kitchen and so easy to use, clean and I don't need to stand there and stir the pot or adjust the heat.  Where has this machine been.  I'm looking forward to sharing recipes (already started to convert my old recipes) and picking up tips along the way.

Thank you Grace, otherwise i would never have found out about TMX.

Hi Shazcat,

I am new here too & really enjoying the recipes & friendliness of the older more experienced members of the forum.

I haven't been using my TM everyday as I got a bit sick after I got it  >:(& working full time, I just haven't had the energy to really play around with it.  I am enjoying it though & have started adjusting existing TM recipes, but haven't yet begun converting any of my own.

Sounds like you have really got into the swing of things though.   :)

Hi and welcome Shazcat - I agree with Mollygrubbles, you and the TMX seem like a match made in heaven. Look forward to seeing some of your converted recipes pop up on the forum.

welcome!!!

molly, sorry to hear that, totally understand though . i'm sure as you become more familiar with the tmx you'll use it more and more, it's hard to come home after a long day and use an unfamiliar machine.

Txs all.

Molly, sorry to hear that you have not been well, but stick with it.  It's a lot easier than it looks and practise seems to make it easier.  I still find it easier to cook some wet dishes (casseroles) up on the weekend and then just re-heat that night.  So some habits are hard to break.  Good luck with exploring yiour new machine.
