Sounds like some good combinations - the lychee does sound good.  Have you tried adding any spices to it?

We enjoy 'Breakfast Sorbet' sometimes for breakfast - it's like a muesli sorbet with berries & bananas - just posted the recipe on my blog:)

Looks delish Quirky Jo and you just want to lick that dribble off the side before it falls onto the tablecloth.  ;) ;)

Don't worry, I was standing in the front garden when I took that photo so it only dribbled on the ground!  The neighbour came to speak to me, and I felt a bit silly standing in the front yard taking photos of sorbet at breakfast time... lol!  my familly are used to it  ;D

Hi Ladies

How much coconut milk do you add to make it creamy? Is that in place of another ingredient?

Also just wondering if fruit needs to be frozen for sorbet? e.g if you want to make banana or orange sorbet do those fruits need to be frozen? Want to get organised for my first thermie day this week hoping to make my little girl banana sorbet as she doesnt eat the berry one with the frozen berries.

Thanks GCL!

I have never made banana sorbet, not sure if it would work. You can make instant icecream with frozen bananas though.

I eat the bananas straight out of the fridge. I don't even bother whizzing them in TM ;D ;D

I wanted to avoid the egg white so whizzed 300g of frozen berries and a couple of splashes of coconut milk and it was delicious! A little bit tart without the sugar, but didn't miss it at all.

This is a timely thread. I'm making sorbet for a demo on Tuesday where there'll be four young children. I'm not sure what flavour to make. Any suggestions for kids?
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
