Plum and Pear jam
« on: September 03, 2009, 10:37:31 pm »
Again, translated from the thermomix club 2001 Autumn booklet.

1 piece of ginger (about size of hazelnut) - Optional
450g plums
350g pear, in pieces
400g Jam sugar (2:1)
quarter tsp cinnamon

1.  Drop the ginger (if using) onto running blades at speed 6, and remove.  Reserve until near the end.

2.  Put the rest of the ingredients into the bowl and chop 20 Sec / 6.  Then cook c 10 Min / 100oC / 1-2

3.  c 30 seconds before the end, add the ginger pieces (if using) through the lid.

4.  Pour immediately into sterilised jars (once setting point is reached) and secure tightly.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

;) :D  Ooh yes, Faffa - could you doubt it?!  :-))  Well, I admit that I am decluttering and organising the lounge - but I'm mainly sitting while I do it, I promise.
