getting started...on my own O.o

so my new TM will arrive today and there will be no consultant to help set it up. last time as I wrote last week TM died so she didnt manage to show me anything.

will I be ok on my own? is it possible to figure things out like stoppinf while cooking to weigh things etc?

now. should I clean the base as often as bowl or not? i noticed it was horribly  difficult to open the base and put back on. it was making sounds of breaking plastic :p normal? 
what shoild I try to make first to help me learn using TM?

I don't have the latest model Maja but I would definitely get your consultant back to show you the ropes. Maybe you have a friend with one, can she help out?

nobody near me and coons could do it on Saturday. cant possibly wait this long!

I set my TM5 up on my own Maja.I've never had help from a advisor although I was promised that one would contact me. Still waiting 18 months later for that call LOL  The instructions are pretty clear and I'm sure you will be okay. The jug assembly is very stiff but gets easier over time. Using the recipe chip is a great help when you first start cooking. Just come back and ask more questions here,we will always help.

I've got a TM31, not one of the new TM5s, so I am not familiar with your machine so I am not sure if this will help but if you cannot get your consultant to help you, would it be helpful to search on google for advice or hop onto YouTube and see if there is anything on there that will help you?  There may even be something on TMX UK's web site as well.
