Nutribullet?

I'm thinking of buying a nutribullet, or something similar, mainly for smoothies but also for grinding small quantities of nuts (my good old TMX just can't 'do' nuts).

Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on these types of machines?

Thanks for the thought Katie (which makes me think that my blades are probably getting a bit on the blunt side) unfortunately it's more a problem of the TMX bowl being just a bit too big to allow me to grind dry nuts as finely as I want.

Just add the basket in then the nuts will chop more , this is done for grinding spices too . Then you don’t have to use a huge amount either .

Oh, Katie, thanks for that.  I knew that about nuts and spices, how could I have forgotten it.  That has just saved me one day of my mortgage savings!!

Glad to help , I just think of when I first got my TM31 there was no cookbooks , nearly nothing on the Internet and I found Fourm Thermomix, never looked back . So much help and knowledge about everything.

My sister gave DD one. You can buy a knock off for about $60. works the same.

It was a great find wasn’t it girls.  I stumbled across it on Dec 30th 2008.

22nd October, 2008. I should celebrate my forum birthday! I joined just before I had my thermomix delivered. I was so very excited and hadn’t a clue as to how they worked. I hadn’t even seen a demonstration. A friend made us a rice custard on a caravanning trip. Naturally DH was sold.  She then pestered us until we bought one.
Like everyone else I learned so much from people on here. Even now I still have friends who have 31’s say, how did you know to do that?  Thanks forum and friends.

I stalked the Forum for a while then took the plunge and joined. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and have met some amazing people who have become wonderful life long friends.
