Lurker comes out!
« on: September 15, 2009, 12:31:01 am »
Hi there,
I have finally decided to introduce myself...I have had my thermomix for almost 12 months now, and been a member of this forum almost since it started, but haven't really used it much, despite my best intentions.  However, the last few months I have been quite ill, and am now recovering from major surgery, and have LOTS of time on my hands because I cannot do anything physical during the recovery.  Yes, no housework, ironing, washing, driving, etc.  >:(

So, I have spent my time finally checking out the forum, and have been copying all of your wonderful recipes into my Living Cookbook software, so that when I am back on my feet, I can have heaps of fun trying out all of them.  I love my thermomix, he sadly hasn't had much use lately, because DH is too scared to use it....I really should have trained him better before my surgery.  My kids, however, love it, and use it all the time for smoothies, and slushies LOL.

I must apologize for having lurked for so long.  I am so glad that I have had this opportunity to catch up with forum, and am going to try to make an effort to keep up with it.  You are all wonderful.

Welcome Terri and I hope your recovery is going well. DH and I spent some time in Gladstone a couple of years ago doing all the industry tours. Loved the caravan park we were at, near the airport and the railway line! But a lovely friendly park and people. We enjoyed our time there.

Nice to see you come out of hiding  :D  Take it easy, and I hope you're fully recovered soon.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

Hi and welcome Terri.  Glad you are on the road to recovery and that your TMX is finally out of hiding. Good excuse to spend all day on here checking out the recipes - you will find plenty to keep you occupied and the hours will just fly by.

Hey Terry, welcome and hope you're back fit and well very soon and cooking up a storm with your TM - aren't the recipes amazing! Can't wait to set started when I get my TM.  I think my kids will really enjoy the ice type drinks you can make with this appliance too,  just have to make sure to keep a good supply of ice on hand during summer!!!
