Hi Meagan. I have joined the Italian forum  and use the google tool bar to translate. The have a lot of discussion over gelato. Here is one.  http://bimby.mastertopforum.com/gelato-alla-cannella-tm31-vt18178.html?highlight=gelato+cannella. If if doesn't come through just go to the home page   http://bimby.matertopforum.com and work it from there. I choose to always translate Italian to save time.  You can do the same with the German forum http://rezeptwelt.de. Choose to always translate German from the google toolbar.

I had trouble joining the Italian one but wrote to the master moderator who signed me in using a sign in name and 12345 as a password.

There is a wealth of info out there if you have the time and patience.

Good luck,
Gretchen

For those who think that it may be just tooooooooooooo difficult (troppo difficile) - Miriam, the Admin/Moderator on the Bimby site speaks PERFECT English - she is an English teacher - and would LOVE to have you join.

Bimby - is also on this forum - so if you think - Not sure - try PMing her by clicking on the link http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=52.  Let me know if she does not respond.

I am a moderator on the English recipe section there too.

When the mixture is lukewarm add the vanilla and the agar-agar 5 sec. speed 2.

Pour into a shallow, wide container and when it is cold put it in freezer overnight.

Cut into cubes, put them in the jug and whisk for 10 seconds. speed 8- 9 and  then 20 sec. atspeed 3 using the spatula if needed.

Put back into the container and put it back in the freezer for at least a half hour and serve.

Try a teaspoon of vanilla essence instead.  You can buy the packets ( or follow the recipe in EDC and use about 2 tsps per packet)
