Made this tonight, really nice. Quite a lot of flavour for risotto though think I might try it with a bit of chilli as well.

I made this for our supper this evening.I didn't tell DH that it was risotto because apparently he doesn't like risotto, but he ate everything on his plate and said it was delicious.I followed Chelsea's method and it worked brilliantly.Loads of leftovers so I will halve the recipe next time. Thanks for the recipe.

i made this tonight, it was delicious! even my dad liked it and he is not a fan of risotto.
it had plenty of meat in it, once i made pasta prima vera (pre thermomix) and he was shocked that there was no meat in it!
Mmmmmm thats given me an idea better search to see if there is a recipe on here for that!

I've just come across this recipe and it looks great. One question regarding the rice ... you don't mention whether you used Arborio rice or just regular long grain rice.

Hi judydawn ... I always do and that's what I had thought. But when the recipe didn't specify, I wasn't sure. I'm one of those cooks who have to have exact instructions, unfortunately!
Thanks for your resply.

It is a great recipe - I have yet to make it - but my SIL has. There were no left overs that night

I made this tonight in my Thermo Chef. I love risotto, but my DH doesn't. It's the first risotto that I have made for him since I bought my machine. He went back for seconds! My DD loved it and even my DS ate it. I don't have a Thermo server, but I do have the Ikea insulated server, so I used that. I can't wait to try it again.

ES, if you have ever had a bad risotto, it puts you off completely so it's great to hear your DH liked this one as it means you can probably slip a few more in now. The prawn risottos are excellent if he eats seafood, so many people don't unfortunately.

He just doesn't like risotto full stop. I, however, love it. I always order it when I eat out. I am looking forward trying a prawn one, but he doesn't,t like prawns either. I will make it one night when he is out.
