Goat
« on: October 01, 2009, 10:22:42 am »
I have a freezer full of goat, but very few recipes to use it with!  I thought it would the same as any other meat, but have found that it needs gentler cooking to avoid its being tough.

Does anyone have any recipes for goat?  TMX would be fab, but slow cooker would be OK too.

Thanks!

I love goat on the BBQ. Make a nice sauce for basting in your TMX. I usually treat goat as for lamb.

Hi!

A friend of mine has a goat farm, they make fabulous cheese and we sometimes buy their meat too.

A rost of Goat Meat needs much longer cooking time then pork! I also cover it with aluminum foil, when itīs brown enough!

Hi Carolyn,

In India they cannot get lamb.  So all the recipes you see for lamb or mutton are infact goat.  So use it for any lamb dishes.
