Hi there
I’m in Brisbane and have had my Thermomix since March this year and am really enjoying playing with it. I placed my order at my sister’s demonstration/training session because I could see so many benefits. Just after doing a creative writing course I thought the best way to practice the craft was to start posting regularly to a blog that Telstra/Bigpond had provided a few years ago. Then I realised that I had taken a second one on at Blogspot at the same time so am now keeping both up to date because both offer certain advantages.
For some reason posting about my adventures with my Thermomix and more specifically with the Rawlicious recipe booklet have kind of taken over from the other areas I want to write about such as growing vegetables and moving towards living more sustainably. I think this might be because growing veges takes weeks or months while each day there are 3 meals to prepare. So while I’ll still write about my other interests, I’ve realigned my thoughts and am really enjoying trying new foods.
I’ve become fascinated with raw food. I picked up Thermomix’s Rawlicious booklet back in early August and am slowly working through it. Currently I have made 21 of the 32 recipes in the booklet, if you count all of the Almond Milk Smoothies options as 1 recipe. I’ll be making the 22nd recipe tonight. I have been including photos in each blog post so if you’d like to see what my versions of the Rawlicious recipes look like, feel free to have a look here.

I’ve been so focused on just getting to know the Thermomix that I haven’t yet explored this forum as much as I could have. I’m looking forward to what I’ll find here.

Hi Tarah
Glad you've found us! While I haven't delved into raw food, I have become fascinated with whole foods, and am gradually replacing my pantry as things run out. It has been an exciting journey and I certainly couldn't do it without my Thermomix and this forum.
Hope you enjoy this forum

Thanks Cathy
I've also been fascinated with whole foods so I can understand where you're at. I still cook brown rice, chick peas and other grains and beans but try to eat between 50 to 75% raw foods. The Thermomix is a very important part of it.

Welcome Tarah,
I don't have the Rawlicious booklet, but I'm a big fan of living food since 4 years and with whole foods for
many years. I enjoyed reading your blog. Your blogname reminds me of: Living the Good Life
.
Have fun

Thanks for the lovely welcome.
I've read the book Living the Good Life, Tebasile. It was a while back and I really enjoyed it. I'm not quite in the same league as I grow vegetables hydroponically on my two patios. But it is great to have tomatoes, beans and greens so handy.
Thanks for the warning, judydawn. I had a feeling it would be easy to get engrossed here. Yes, I am really enjoying the raw recipes which surprises me a bit - but if it works, why not!
Hope you like the recipes, cookie1...
I like your thought, Karen. Not sure how I can accomplish it, but I do like the thought.

Welcome Tarah - hope you find the forum useful.
Great work with the blog/Rawlicious workout - fantastic to have all those photos - TMX Australia should pay you to put them in their leaflet.
Sorry again for the beetroot custard problems.

Thanks for your comments about my blog, Thermomixer, and I love the idea of TMX Aust. paying for my photos.
I didn't really have any problems with the beetroot custard. I was too busy enjoying the taste, plus working out how to make my dinner at the same time. My sister read the blog post and then visited with my Mum a couple of days later looking for some beetroot custard and it was all gone. It's a great recipe and I'm so pleased you put it up.
Speaking of photos, I made your Crab and Asparagus Soup during the week and will post about it this afternoon or a little later. But I'm tossing up whether I'll include my photo as yours is better.
