I love the little tins of tuna Maddy and often have them for lunch. I must try them in this, it would add to the flavour.

I made this for mum and SD tonight, except I used Salmon and Penne instead of Tuna and Macaroni
I used the mustard Kezza gave as her goodie bag gift, it smelled amazing
I also added some frozen peas and corn to add a bit of colour.
Thanks for such an easy recipe cookie

I'm going to give this one a try cookie, I think it will be a hit.
Is there a reason for mixing in the mustard and cheese afterward rather than putting them in the white sauce to make cheese sauce, which is what I would usually do? Does it have a different effect?

Sorry for the delay Caroline W. I have been travelling and not looking at all of the forum. I see no reason why it can't all be put in together.

Thanks for posting the recipe! We had this tonight & it was delicious & really easy
. The only change I made was to add the cheese to the white sauce as it cooked & I saved a little extra to sprinkle on top with the bread crumbs. This will be a regular for us.

I made a double batch of this today, had some for dinner and put one lot in the freezer. I only had wholemeal spaghetti, so I snapped the strands in half, cooked them, and then cut them even smaller with kitchen scissors. Much easier to eat that way
I cooked the sauce and then realised I hadn't put the flour in, so I added it and then cooked the sauce for another few minutes to thicken it. Still turned out really good
I forgot how much I enjoyed this, I should make it more often

Was flipping through the woolies catalog and came across Tuna Bake. So of course, I did a search on the forum.
Lo and behold, this popped up. Sounds really easy and yummy!

Lovely presentation BZB, it's amazing how a bit of greenery can lift a plate.
