Latest is that I am trying to get Geoff out of that place and home where he will be taken better care of.  I have people trying to organise care workers for morning and night to assist me in bringing him home this afternoon which is 4 days earlier than planned but to Geoff, that would seem like an eternity I guess. With the antibiotics kicking in and me being able to build him up with sustagen drinks & healthier choices of food (he's not eating much at all) and being home where he wants to be - fingers crossed I will have my man back to 'normal' very soon.  Until everything has been organised, I cannot even tell him so once the phone call comes in to confirm everything, that call will be made quick smart.

OH Judy, I do hope you can get him home, even if the two of you live on eggs and toast. I'm sure that with him home the two of you will feel so much better. Thinking of both of you with love.  :-* :-* :-*

MM, what a really beautiful thing to do. Judy is so much a part of our forum. Thank you.

He's back  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  He arrived just 1 hour after I rang the nursing home and told them they could send him home.  It is 1/2 an hour away from here and they had to order an access cab as well but how quick was that  :o :o :o  A friend was there at the time and he helped pack up Geoff's gear and bought it home in his car.  I must say he is looking so much better today than he was yesterday - can't believe those antibiotics have kicked in that quickly.  So, life returns to 'normal' albeit at a much slower pace until the end of the year.  We both like eggs on toast Cookie1 and that is probably something he hasn't had for the past month anyway.  We will survive (with a little help from outside) and no, I won't be doing anything silly, trust me.

So glad to hear he is home where he is meant to be.   I'm sure that both of you will recover much more quickly and smoothly now that you can remain in sight of each other and that you can give each other the TLC you need.

Make sure you keep on taking things gently and carry on getting better.  Geoff is very lucky indeed to have you fighting so hard on his behalf.   WELL DONE   :D ;D 8) :-*

Lovely to hear.  I'm really happy for you.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

Just logged on and what great news JD  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. Fanastic that everything has come together so you are able to have DH at home and that hs antibiotics have kicked in and are making a difference already!  :o  Getting rid of that stress and worry will help you both recover even more quickly.

As Thermomixer says, please take it easy on yourself and don't push yourself. Please call those close to you for any help, any time of day or night - whenever you need it.

Everything going well and DH is improving a bit more each day.  Still had some of that chicken soup DD made me and he woofed that down for lunch yesterday - nothing like chicken soup to build you up.  No fear of me doing anything silly, my stomach is still sore so that reminds me to take it easy.  I figure when that soreness goes, I will be almost fully recovered.  Got a bit of a social life happening first 3 days of next week - Monday the Christmas cooking class, Tuesday walking to the local tavern for my Mum's birthday lunch and Wednesday is my carers' group Christmas lunch so I am looking forward to those outings. Thanks to all for the latest lot of good wishes - you are all such caring and kind people.

Judy, I am so pleased to see that Geoff is home and on the mend at last!
Looking forward to tomorrow - see you there!  Shall we meet up out the front somewhere?

Hi Amanda, either out the front or just hang around the table where we usually register.  At least we know what each other looks like.
