Just lost 7kg with my emergency operation - bit too fast and a bit too drastic, 3 or 4 would have suited me. I know I will put it all back on when I start using my TMX again but that is going to be some time off by the looks of it and with this hot weather in Adelaide, salads are all the go at the moment.  Nice to be back guys and catching up on some postings - still so many to read.

Thank you. Even reading is tiring Cookie1 so can't imagine what cooking would be like at the moment.  Did make myself a banana milkshake yesterday though - that must have been a shock for my Rowdy.

I also am doing WW, rejoined a couple of weeks ago, if you are using the unlimited payment plan you will have access to the on-line points trackers and in there is a recipe builder, which makes it very easy to work out points value of EDC recipes.
Good luck on your WW journey, fingers crossed and with determination I will get go goal weight this time.

Thought I'd put this up for you Em - it is my favourite carrot cake recipe from the 'Every Day Low-Point Cooking' book from WW. I converted it on the weekend:
Ingredients
350g SR flour
1 tsp bi-carb
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
150g brown sugar
150g golden syrup
2 eggs
20g oil
250g apple sauce (made in TMX)
2 carrots
method
1. Grate carrots by putting TMX on speed 7 for 3 secs.
2. Add, syrup, eggs, oil and apple.
3. Mix at 37oC speed 2 for 2 min.
4. Add Flour, soda, spices and sugar and mix for 20 sec at speed 5.
5. Bake in a 20cm round cake tin for 1 hour at 180oC.
5. Leave to cool then mix in TMX 1/2cup of low-fat cream cheese spread and 20g of icing sugar and spread on top of cake.

This cake serves 12 and has 31/2points per serve ;)

I made the chinese steamed buns last night, they worked out to be 2.5 points each and were YUMMY. The kids loved them too. I served them with rice and points free vege and it made for a very filling meal. I also made a vege soup to keep in the fridge to have as a snack. The boiled orange cake is a favourite of mine and I think it worked out to 2 points per serve (16 serves) I'll have to double check that one.
I love the online tracker, it makes it so quick and easy to work out the points for a recipe.

thanks everyone will definantly be trying that recipe sounds yummy!
well i weigh in tonight, i am abit nervous i havent had the best week, had lots of dramas with my newborn so the diet kind of went by the way side for a couple of days. but fingers crossed i havent gained!!
i am yet to work out any points for recipes for the tmx but wen i do i will definantly post them!

Em I'm a WW leader now and lost all my weight while BFing and did my maintenance while BFing too.  Just keep in mind that you might be in for a longer journey than normal because of the hormones from pregnancy and BFing.  They can make it a bit harder than a regular member.  Same goes for women going through menopause.

I think the best thing I can offer to anyone struggling, is to vary the types of carbohydrates you eat for each meal.  Ie, limit your bread to 2 slices a day, eat a cereal meal or a noodle meal or a rice meal, pasta meal or potato meal.  

I had today a bowl of cereal for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch and a pasta dish for dinner.  See how there's different carbs there?  And portion sizes.  Always keep on top of those and you'll be on a winner.

If you find yourself being negative, focus on what you CAN have rather than dwelling on what you can't.  And with WW, nothing is off the menu.  You just need to learn how to moderate things a bit.  ;)

I'm hoping TMX will help me with my continuous journey.  Not hinder it.

i'm thinking i'll probably do the core program again as i really enjoyed that, it was very good for me and much easier than counting points ;) wish i could afford meetings but hopefully i can get motiveted without them  8)
