I followed the recipe as it was written, except that I halved the number of cloves (I don't like cloves). Of the suggested juices which could be used, I used orange juice. It was made with my DH's homemade merlot.
It was quick to throw together, the 15 mins cooking time in the book was exactly correct, and the end result was delicious. I like the fact that the 'mulling' bits are in the internal steaming basket so easy to lift out, and can be used again.
We all loved this, and it wasn't too potent so you get to drink more
Will definitely make it again. I also want to try the non-alcoholic apple juice version.
