I made this today and it is really lovely but quite grainy!!
also curious, why does it have sultanas in it??
I wasn't expecting it to look like the bought stuff because it's made from scratch AND I used rapadura 1/2 and 1/2 with raw..
I processed it for longer than required and took half of the chilli seeds out and half left in, not hot enough for me, barely a bite but still nice

Looks great PAF.

I saw a bottle of Strawberry Sweet Chilli Sauce on a friend's bench recently. It tasted divine. I'm thinking next time I make some, I'm going to throw in some strawberries.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

made some without the fresh chillis i add 3 teaspoons of chilii powder  and 2 teaspoons of paprika, also i only hade 300g of raw sugar made the rest up with white sugar

i will make it like this the next time i make, the heat of the chilli powder is just right for me, and i am happier with the colour this time

I like sultanas in cakes but just left them out of this chilli sauce; fantastic - very authentic look and taste, and so easy to make. This is now a staple in my household.

Does anyone know how long this lasts?  I am thinking of making some for christmas hampers.

Edit: Ignore this question - I've just reread the recipe on page 1 and Thermoconvert says it will last for 6mths at least.

Good idea AB.  I might make up a batch of this tomorrow and see how well they go together.  Thanks for the suggestion.
