Hooked on the forum
« on: November 30, 2009, 02:22:04 pm »
I think I need to go to bed! Its 12.15am & I have been on the forum checking out all of the recipes for the last few hours. My mouth is watering thinking about yummy things & I can't wait till I get my machine in a week or so. I told my sister that it does everything & she asked "does it vacuum too?" I told her that it didn't but she agreed that it did so many other things that it was OK if it was deficient in the areas of housework eg: vacuuming and washing dishes! Guess you can't have everything though but it comes pretty close as far as kitchen items go. Goodnight!  I need to go and have some sweet dreams (eg eating pudding and cheesecake and cakes and dips and all other foodie snacks that I know will be made in the thermomix once it arrives!)

Hi & welcome to the forum pandateddy.  That was your first 5 hours on the forum, believe me you will spend many, many more. Glad you like our recipes, there are some beauties here and they are still coming at a rapid pace.  I have files bulging with recipes to try and very rarely cook the same recipe twice unless I have visitors, then of course, I give them something I know is going to work and be delicious.

You're in good company pandateddy!!! And a double whammy is that the tmx is addictive and so is this forum! It won't be long and you'll be clocking up the days instead of hours!  :D :o
Re the dishes - you will be amazed after a day of cooking how few dishes you really do have compared to now!
Enjoy!

Fortunately I got in early - now there are 20,000 posts to wade through ( and a lot of rubbish ones from me !!).

I know a couple (JD & CB79) declared their intentions to read everything.  It is time consuming, but fun.

Let me add my welcome also, Pandateddy!  (Cute name)

I am also a newbie - got my "Tuffy" on November 12 and have had a lot of fun playing with it.

I too love this forum.  Being an old lady, I have no hesitancy about sticking my oar in and dispensing various bits of knowledge I have absorbed over nearly 60 years of cooking.
