Banana Sludge
« on: December 03, 2009, 05:55:34 am »
Name of Recipe: Banana Sludge
Number of People: 2
Ingredients:
2 Frozen Bananas
1 Fresh Banana
1 Handful Ice Cubes
Preparation:
1. Place all ingredients into mixer bowl
2. Zap for 30 seconds on speed 10, making sure that all ice has melted.

Photos:

Tips/Hints:
This recipe makes a texture close to the "Fruity Dream" in the cook book, but only with bananas and a small amount of ice. For a texture like ice-cream, add more ice, and substitute the fresh banana with another frozen one.

It's great for people with allergies to dairy and/or egg products.

Yeah Coles Online here is advertising them at $4.98/kg (or 90¢ each), Woolworths Homeshop is advertising them at $1.03 each, weird pricing.

The reason why they're so expensive is that bananas are the ONLY fruit that is not allowed to be imported into Australia, thus the price changes due to the season, bananas are still the biggest selling item in Coles supermarkets.

That's fantastic.  Judging from some shoppers trolleys I would have nearly guessed coke to be the biggest seller!

Thanks Thermoteen. What a quick and easy thing to do. I'll have to look for some soggy bananas at the shops that are cheap and try this. It would be lovely and refreshing on a hot day.

Good job thermoteen. I can see this being a popular hot summer day after school snack. Best thing is the kids can make it themselves
