Hello from Central Victoria
« on: December 06, 2009, 07:46:42 am »
I'd like to introduce myself. I'm an oldy just back from the Great Victorian Bike ride where my husband and I were support crew for our daughter and grandson. The TM went with us and was used several times each day, 8). We didn't camp but had accommodation, so the TM was safe. I have had the TM since the end of October and the poor thing is nearly worn out already. I must admit that I'm still a bit fearful when cleaning the blade, but daughter who introduced me to the joys of Thermomix has told me it won't cut me :-)). I have enjoyed many of the recipes I've found here and in the books from *: Looking forward to using the machine for our family Christmas. Will be starting tomorrow.

Welcome from another 'oldie' over the other side of the country.

Welcome!

I did the Great Vic Bike ride last time it was the Great Ocean Road (as I see it was this year), must have been 2004 or 2005... Can't quite see myself doing it just now!

Well we work in Melbourne but llive in the Macedon Ranges, just - in Gisborne since June. Just built a house. Now we are here and house building and decorating tasks are lessening I am getting more into cooking.

Hi and welcome to the forum.  Never too old to become a TMX owner or a forum addict - there are getting to be quite a few of us now.  No fear of wearing your machine out just yet boonderoostudio - they are build to last.  Happy cooking.

Welcome to the forum! Good to see that you took your TMX with you on the Bike Ride, very sensible indeed! 8)
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
