Newbie from gippsland vic :)
« on: December 07, 2009, 04:52:40 am »
Hello all :)

Ok so i new to the Thermomix but not new to forums, and am so glad to have found this site!

I ordered my Thermomox last Thursday and can i say the wait is awful, lol!
I am a sole parent of 5 kids, living in gippsland and have recently removed all artificial colours/flavours and preservatives out of the kids  diet so figure the Thermomix is going to give me a much needed helping hand!

Welcome kaznkidz! Wow - you have a handfull!!!  :o TMX will be able to help you out there. It's just like another set of hands in the kitchen.  ;) This is the reason I got my TMX - being able to control what everyone eats - much easier for me - only 2 kids and hubby to worry about. But in the 3 or so months I've had it I know I just couldn't go back and do it without it! Looking forward to your additive free recipe ideas.  :)

Welcome kaznkidz, the TMX will certainly keep your children happy with all the wonderful things you can make for them. My DD only has 2 kids but when her DH goes interstate for a couple of nights, she has said she would hate to be a single mother. I'd love to see her try and cope with 5  :-)) :-)) :-))  I also take my hat off to anyone in that situation.

Welcome. You will find your thermomix a big help to you. Your children will love you even more with all the sorbets etc you will be able to whip up. What age are your children?

Welcome to the forum. I agree with Gretchen! ;D
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Do your kids eat yoghurt?  Make sure you try Valerie (Canadian Foodie) yoghurt from here.  For the cost of 2 litres of milk, you can make approx 2 kgs of yoghurt.  Now that adds up to fantastic savings!
