This recipe was just sent out by my GL so thought I would share it as it has been a topic of discussion. I haven't tried it as yet (it landed in my inbox approx 5 minutes ago!!)
Scrambled Eggs by Janine Babauskis
Ingredients
• Knob butter
• 80mls of milk
• 4 eggs
• Salt & pepper to taste
Method
Add butter to the TM bowl and melt, 50°C for 1 minute. Distribute the butter over the bottom and around sides of the TM and also the blades including the top section of the blade unit with a pastry brush (for easy cleaning)
Add milk and eggs and mix on speed 4 for 10 seconds
Cook for 12 minutes on 90°C, speed 2
Variation
Chop fresh herbs prior to melting the butter, leaving herbs in TM bowl.

Thanks faffa_70 - gosh, is there another discussion group that we're not privy to?
I know the English book has a recipe for scrambled eggs and CarolineW's hubby did them -

Will try these and see - not sure without the butterfly, but I will try.

Thanks Faffa.
Janine tries to do as much as possible without the butterfly. I think she likes to see how little washing up she can do..

Tried it tonight and it sort of works - more the creamed eggs than scrambled and after 12 minutes mine had started to separate and have a fiar amount of watery liquid coming out.
It doesn't say - maybe she used Extra Large eggs?
I prefer my eggs to have some more texture for scrambled eggs so would leave out the blitzing for 10 seconds before cooking.
Cleaning up was still as bad - lots stuck to the base even with a generous dollop of butter.
It still seems to be a work in progress, but maybe if we had a non-stick base?

Tried it as well - great tasting scrambled eggs, no doubt about it, but cleaning is still long and arduous by TM standards!! Going to try 'coddled/baked/whatever' using the varoma in individual pots...work in progress!

Welcome troycam_lee82 - haven't written it here, but did try by heating the TM bowl up to 100
o
C for 2 minutes and then sprayed the base and blades with olive oil spray before adding the eggs and it sticks less - still some, but less.

Thanks for this - I had been thinking it MUST be possible to do scrambled eggs in the TMX but not gotten around to testing.
Bit of a bummer about it still being tough to clean, BUT not having to stand over a pan stirring it is still a plus for me (my son loves to have eggs for brekkie or lunch but my daughter and my partner hate them so I always have to do something else too).

Have always found scrambled eggs in the microwave easier (to clean up), and you only need to have 1 egg per person.
ie. 1 egg (mushed with fork), 1 tbspn milk, herbs of choice (in a cup and cover with gladwrap)
30 secs in microwave
mush up again for 30secs, serve, season and enjoy with toast

Thank you everyone. I was thinking of doing this but might just whack them in the micro - no time to clean Thermie to that extent before work.

I have tried scrambled eggs in TMX, too much cleaning up. I'll stick to microwave.

Hi there, New to Forum! Tried scrambled eggs.
Improvised with three eggs, slosh of milk and slosh of cream and a good dash of olive oil. (sorry will measure things next time, find it hard to measure!)
Fluffed them or beat (with or without Butterfly) for about 15 sec/SP 8. then sp2/ 7 mins on 100, then sp2/ 6 mins on 60. Wonderful scrambled eggs.
No matter, however, what i use to make scrambled eggs....they ALWAYS require a scrub of the pan job! Was not too bad in the TMX, but certainly no harder than cleaning my saucepan or frypan (I don't have non stick pans!)
Thanks for the forum, it is wonderful! and i've had my 'the-man' for a week and half and have not touched my cooktop/stove!

Hi shar-la, welcome to the forum. Nice to see someone have success with the scrambled eggs. It's true about the cook top - rarely gets used in this house either.
