Hello from Canada

I received a new thermomix yesterday.  I think I have died and gone to heaven.  I made pastry dough for pumpkin and apple pies for Christmas Dinner last night in 30 seconds flat.  Then when the pies were made next up was the easiest homemade lemonaid ever.  I found the Lemonaid to be a bit sweet but a shot of vodka fixed that right up  .  Next time I will add a little less sugar.  Probably still add the vodka though.  Mmmmmm.   I woke up thinking about my new best friend this morning.  What to make today?  So many things to make.  So little time.  Hoiw have I ever survived all these years without one?

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.  I have been busy thermomixing up a storm.  16 people here yesterday and I had to keep making lemonaid.  Ran out of vodka too.  LOL

LOL.  Try the Sunshine Coast, B.C. on a two seater float plane in windy weather.

I lived in the Queen Charlottes for a couple of years - the Grauman Goose was the plane that flew in and out of there - when the weather permitted.  Amazing how often you were stuck.  Learned to live without fresh milk and fresh veggies for long periods of time when the barges couldn't get out to us.

A warm welcome from sunny Australia.  I bet it's freezing in Canada.  I have a friend who lives in Edmonton and well before Christmas it was -30!!!!!!  I hate our summer heat here nbut can't imagine -30!!!!!!!

Hi Trudy.

Canada has many different weather zones.  In Edmonton it is very cold in the winter.  Here in BC it is much warmer.  It gets slightly below zero once in awhile but we rarely get snow.  Last yesar we had quite a bit for a few weeks but then it was gone.  We have had none this year YET!!!  : )

Off to make leek and potato soup in my new best friend!!!!
