Coffee Syrup for Iced Coffee

I love those little maple syrup bottles for things we make in our Thermomixes - great for gift giving.  Thanks for the update Chookie, this is a lovely drink in summer.

Kimmyh, I will send my family over.  They love the stuff.  I try to buy it when on special.

Cookie do you think a plunger would do for the draining of the coffee or would there be to much sediment. .?.

I don't think the plunger would manage to push through .

Chookie we don't take sugar so this would work just as well without wouldn't it? I'd put vanilla into it.

Chookie, I was just about to make this, I have a Delongi magnifica coffee machine, wondering if I made a cup and a half of extra strong coffee would it be strong  enough and should I then add it to the sugar or just make a sugar syrup, ?

HI AB, I always use two shots of espresso from machine for all the iced coffee/ frappe recipes and works out well.

I made this, using my memory for the ingredients ooops, and used instant coffee, same amount, and it is fantastic, maybe a bit stronger than with ground, but still really really good.

Yes it sure is. Thanks for the heads up fruity. You wouldn't need to strain it using instant would you? I always have instant on hand but have to buy ground coffee in especially for this recipe.  I haven't made it yet this year but now, knowing I have the ingredients on hand it won't be long.

nope, I didn't strain it. And have bought instant to make it again.

I was waiting for the chocolate version. Maybe you can do the same with cocoa and sugar?
