Greasing the Varoma?
« on: January 12, 2010, 06:54:22 am »
Just took the delivery of my TM last night!   ;D

Read the manual, and it talks about greasing the varoma but it doesn't suggest what with.

Do you grease your varoma?  Butter or canola spray?
Do you do it every use?  Does it really need it for say steaming vegies?

I've steamed vegies in my varoma and with no grease.

I don't greae it all the time - but some dishes I do and either use olive oil spray or brush olive/veg oil on with a pastry brush.

Also sometimes use baking paper in there with or without holes (but don't block all the steam off.

But I always wash it scrupulously after use - some it is not greased between uses.

Hope that helps  ??? ??? :o :-)) :( :D :-\ maybe not  ;D ;D

I just grease mine when the recipe says too, tonight I did because I steamed meatballs and the recipe called for it, I just used olive oil and my pastry brush  :)
