Hello from Germany
« on: January 17, 2010, 09:09:13 am »
Hey there!! :)

I'm excited to be a part of this forum!! I am from Germany and have been using the TM 21 for about a year and recently I got the TM 31 which I am very excited about!!  ;D
I use the german recipe forum from Vorwerk alot, on it are tons of recipes!! This week I discovered this forum and registered right away!! Looking forward to getting some different insights from here!!

Maybe just a little something about my person: I am 23 years old, I am studying osteopathic medicine in Germany in the 2nd year (of 5) and am originally from Germany's small neighbour country Luxembourg.

Greetings,

Véronique

Greetings and welcome Véronique! There's some great info on this forum. Looking forward to your contributions here too!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Hi Veronique, welcome to our forum. It would be great to be able to speak more than one language and be able to access the forums from other countries.  There are interesting recipes coming out now from forum members overseas and we look forward to any that you may contribute if and when you have the time.  Are you finding the latest model much better than the previous one?

Welcome Veronique. I guess the TMX is a great asset to a busy student such as you. I remember sandwiches being my staple diet whilst I was studying. Didn't have the time or money for much else. Glad you are much better organised than I was

Véronique, I just finished my Bachelor of Commerce and had my Thermomix for the last 4 months of my studies.  Not only did it make food prep easier, it provided me with a wonderful outlet for my time off and I didn't feel guilty about being away from my studies as I was doing something productive.

All the best with your studies, and hope you enjoy your new cooking friend.

WOW!! I did't check the forum for 2 days and now I got so many kind replies!!  :) Thank you so much everyone!!

To answer some of the questions that were asked... i do find the TM31 much better than the TM21! You can do much more with the reverse function and I also like the shape of the pot much more!! I love to make meat or vegetable dishes with the whole pieces still intact! :)

I will definately post recipes over time! Right now I am in the middle of big exams, it will probably be after that... I love having one as a student! It saves so much time, and I hardly ever ask myself the question anymore, "What should I eat today?". There are so many exciting things and dishes to try, and it's so fast and convenient!

It's a shame not that many Americans know about the TM... I've told some of my american friends, but none of them has ever heard of it! I gotta change that!!  ;D

Good luck with those exams Veronique. Do you get a holiday after you finish them?
