Any other Ballatarians out there????
« on: January 19, 2010, 08:32:30 am »
I just got my Thermie a couple of days before Xmas and apart from having tonsilitis a couple of weeks ago and being in bed for a few days and going down the beach for a short visit i have pretty much tried to use it for something or another every day since.

Things i have made to date:
Bread
Foccacia (very yum with herbs, garlic salt and salt on top)
Banana chocolate smoothie (trying to replicate the one from boost and its pretty close)
Sorbets mango and tried banana ( not as good as the smoothie)
chicken rissotto (made from two different recipes which was a bit confusing.  Looks 7/10 taste 9/10 always room for improvement)
pumpkin soup (very nice)
chocolate icecream (from Teninas blog - very niceeeeee)
chocolate cake
orange juice
pear juice
my favouorite dip capsicum
Still havent tried the veroma yet but cant wait to. Oops did i spell that right?
Anyway I was hoping there were some other THMXR addicts in the Ballarat region that might be interested in getting together for a chat other a coffee or wine share some cooking tips or recipes?
Its not the same sharing the excitement with the DH.

Our poor DH's probably are all fed up with hearing about our adventures on this forum & our love for our TMX's so I can see your point in wanting to meet other owners in your area welovefood.  Hope you find someone otherwise just chat to us here ;) ;)
You are going well with your recipes - quite a mixed bag there.

Good to hear you're having fun - may need to contact your consultant to see - they may not be on the forum, but sure they are there.

Souldn't that be Ballaratians?  :D :D
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

I got a little confused too, thought it may be what people from Ballarat call themselves.

Lovely place Ballarat. I hope you find some like minded souls Welovefood.

Oops how dyslexic is that.  I don't know what they call themselves here haven't lived here that long.  I did mean to say Ballaratarians.  Thanks Thermomixer will try with the Consultant.  DH and DC's are loving all the yummy food.  I'm still struggling with main meals though as i want to cook more but have some fussy children who are a bit plain.  Any ideas?

Ciao

Hi Nicole - I have posted a request in chit chat and request sections.  Hope we can find some help - maybe a thread for parents?
