Bombay Potatoes
Indian Cookbook

Tweaking details: didn't have an dried chillies, so left it out
Review: OMG, divine!  So easy, too.  A fantastic side dish, will definitely make again.
Score: (out of 5*) 5

I agree CarolineJ- this is delish. I've also done the variation in the book where you substitute 3 tsp mustard seeds for the chilli and that is fabulous as well.

I made these too today as part of a curry dinner.  They were really nice and I like how the potatoes kept their shape without going mushy. Won't hesitate to make again.

A definate 5/5 dish. A great side dish to have with curry (especially those that don't contain any veges such as vindaloo). Remember to check on the potatoes so that you don't overcook but don't worry if you do as it's then called Bombay Mash. No problems here potatoes kept their shape and tasted great.

Made these tonight and they were a big hit. Amazing how the potatoes kept their shape enough to bite. Served them with the dinner spinner tandoori chicken (another winner) and will definitely be making again.  I did reduce the chilli a bit though for my kids and they were perfect.

I made these tonight.  They were quite nice but too hot for my kids - next time would only use one chilli.

3.5/5

Very popular.  We had dinner for 8, and we like our potato, so I made a double batch.  Used Dutch Creams and just followed the recipe.  Very happy indeed with the result.  5/5

Just made this this morning for tonight's dinner and it tastes beautiful.  It is just verging on being a wee bit too hot for me, and I suspect by tonight the depth of the taste will have developed more and that it will be even hotter, but that's OK, a good dollop of yoghurt will sort that out.  Very easy to make and, like everyone else, I will definitely be making this again (in fact, I suspect from my DH's comments, I will be making this on an extremely regular basis!).
