Newbie from Melbourne!

Hi Everyone,
I'm based in Melbourne, a mummy to one, a 14 month old daughter! I work part time and will be studying in 2010 through open universities! I LOVE to cook but since having my daughter I don't get to cook as often as I would like, I make the main meals but never manage to get any additional cooking done. We will be moving at the end of Feb and I am very keen to get a thermomix, just not sure if I should get it in Feb or March, knowing my luck whatever month I buy it there will be a better incentive in the next!
Look forward to sharing recipies and ideas with everyone when I do manage to purchase my thermomix!

Hi dutch, welcome. Get it sooner rather than later. It will help with meals for your daughter, lots of nice soup for you while shifting.

Welcome Dutch. I also vote to get it sooner. You will be able to prepare natural, healthy things for your daughter, not to mention yourself.

Hi Dutch, welcome to the forum. I think everyone on this forum would tell you to get it now, you don't know what you are missing out on. It will make the extras that you don't have time for now in no time at all.

Hi and welcome!
Yes, get it now, then meals won't be an issue during moving time.

Hi Dutch, I just finished uni in November and bought my thermomix a few months before I finished. I considered doing the "responsible thing" and waiting until I was making money, but figured that the sooner I bought it, the sooner I could use it and get the benefits.
I loved cooking and studying at the same time. Could study while my dough was kneading, study while my dinner was self-stirring, study while making jam, study while making custard........Multi-tasking is what we mums do best.
So if you've decided you want one, there's no point in putting it off.

Thanks everyone! I didn't take much persuading, made my decision on Saturday, ordered it on Sunday, now I just have to wait until it arrives. My consultant is going away tomorrow so I probably won't get it until Monday.
Only 6 sleeps to go
