Fast and Fluffy Rolls
« on: February 12, 2010, 08:23:25 pm »
Hello :)
As this afternoon I stayed with  my children at home, we decided to do some very simple but fluffy  Rolls!

Fast and Fluffy Rolls

500 grams of plain flour
40 grams of Baker's Yeast
2 teaspoons of salt
1 pinch Sugar
1 package of cream cheese typ Philadelphia, 200g
200 grams Water

Everything inside the Thermomix for 3 minutes  ::
If you find the dough too soft add a little more flour (sometimes depends on the quality of cream cheese)

Remove the mass and form rolls to taste (I usually make rolls of about 80-90 grams). For those who like to put some seeds  (we love it) involve the rolls in the seads with  lightly wet hands!
Place in a bakingtray
- Let them rise until double naturaly and then Bake them in Preheatet Oven at 200º - 20-25 minutes!
Or if hurry
- Put in the oven at 50 º 10-20 minutes (to rise) and then climb to 200 º and bake for another 20 to 25 min!

Next day they are also very nice on the toaster!

Bye isi

Isi,  haven't you heard that 1/2 of the Forum members have had to go on diets, because we make and eat all your bread recipes. ;D ;D ;D  Keep them coming.

Wow Isi. Lovely.  I have just made another batch of your Rustic Potato bread and have a batch of your rolls rising.

Who care about the diet when you can have Isi's bread.  :D

I made these rolls for visitors for lunch today isi - certainly very quick.  I wouldn't say mine were fluffy but they were very nice and and you could certainly taste the cheesy flavour. My visitors loved them.  I used 60% less fat philly cheese because that's what I had but perhaps full fat philly would make them a bit lighter.  Was very happy with them though.

JD-I used the 5% fat philly cheese and mine were quite heavy but I had the same thought. I want to try them again with full fat

Hello Friends :)
It's a shame to reach this conclusion but I think the quality of our flour and other ingredients often have influence in the results!
These Rolls for example here are so fluffy.
I just have to apologize to that effect.

Hi isi, don't feel you have to apologize if our cooking doesn't turn out to be as good as yours.  As you say, there are variances in products from different countries and I for one am quite prepared to keep trying until mine look as light and fluffy as yours. I think I will try bakers flour, have another go with fresh yeast instead of dried yeast and use full-fat philly too.  One of my guests went back for seconds - people don't do that if they aren't enjoying something.  Keep on posting, we all love your recipes.  :-* :-*
