Caramel Topping
« on: February 15, 2010, 12:59:41 am »
Good Morning,
I was just wondering if anyone might have a recipe for making caramel topping/sauce that I could use to make caramel milkshake? Any help would be appreciate.

There is a caramel sauce topping for icecream in the UK fast and easy book. Not sure if you could use it for milkshakes though? I can tell you it is lovely on a pizza as a base with bananas and macadamia nuts though lol.

Let me know if you would like details.

Yes please Meagan. I'd like to do the pizza idea. I'm always at a loss for sweet pizzas.

Did you see Dean(karen)'s buttermilk syrup ?  Maybe use brown sugar and just milk instead of buttermilk if you don't have?

I just posted the sticky toffee sauce recipe in sauces - maybe it should be in desserts? When I wrote it I realised it is more toffee and caramel...sorry  :-))
