I've never heard of
Milo
but i like your recipe Cathy
. Could be an interesting spread using honey instead rapadura.

That's a great idea Tebasile. Could make a spread, or a topping for homemade icecream. Maybe swirl it through icecream before it's fully set for a nice effect.

Oh yum, thank you! Now we can have Milo without giving Nestle money.

I made it today and it is really fabulous Cathy! Thankyou. I used raw sugar b/c I didn't have rapadura and found it a bit sweet. Next time will blitz the sugar first so can use less (sweeter as it dissolves better) and use 1/3 c sugar and add some stevia to make it healthier. I'll also make a 1/2 batch (unless of course I am giving some away which I am sure I will be as this is so good).

i made this today, on first taste i wasnt sure if i liked or not ! then i mixed it with milk and it is sooo yummy, i will be giving this to my ds as he is an incredibly fussy eater and nothing good gets in his mouth (he would rather not eat at all, then eat anything healthy), so i am sure he wont mind a chocolate drink now will he! i love that it is full of vitamins and minerals so i dont feel guilty having a glass of it!
thanks for another great recipe

Hi
I am just wondering if I can use something else instead of the rapadura as I am not sure where I can buy this locally?
Thanks

Hi and welcome Ferral Family. You could use another type of sugar instead of rapadura (try your health food store) - should be the same ratio.

Nicky rapadura is a more natural sugar than raw or white. There is a whole thread on it if you search for rapadura. You can use raw sugar if you want to.
