damaged blade?

Yesterday I processed some dates for the chocolate alternative recipe in the vegetarian book - I think I made a mistake with the recipe in using fresh instead of dried dates - I wasn't sure what dried dates were as opposed to other dates in a packet. They were really hard to process

Is it possible to bend or damage the blades? I noticed after the dates my mashed potato went to the sides of the bowl instead of being mashed up as did some nuts and seeds I processed this morning.

If this is the case what do I do?? And how can I check whether I have in fact damaged my thermy? As a new owner I'm a bit worried!

I have processed dates with no troubles.   It is unlikely that you damaged the blades.  It may be that the potato mix was a bit drier than usual? and stuck to the sides more??

Yesterday I saw heaps of really hard Praline blitzed and it would have been likely to have done more damage

I have thorougly washed everything, processed some ice, tested how it went on reducing nuts to meal and hopefully all is well. The date and nut mixture was very thick and the machine was really struggling to mix it around.

Hopefully this is just new owner jitters!

sometimes using too high a speed can make eveyrthing stick to the edges without getting chopped / mixed properly
