Hi also from the sunshine coast Queensland!
« on: February 25, 2010, 06:40:45 am »
Hi Lisa, and other forum members, I'm Kaycee and I'm on the Sunshine Coast as well.  I ordered my Thermie yesterday, so should have it next Wednesday.  I have my demo booked for 14 March.  I first booked a demo for 31/8/08, and cancelled due to concerns re cost.  Have drooled over it ever since, so this week finally bit the bullet.  I can hardly sleep I am so excited.

Hi Kaycee on the Sunshine Coast ( sounds like a band name!) Moved your post so others will see that there is another newbie.

Sure you'll have fun here.  You won't regret the purchase.

Hi Kaycee, welcome to the forum.  Nice to see you finally revisited the idea of owning a TMX - you will love it. Spend a bit of time on here checking out all the wonderful recipes - that will while away the days waiting for your delivery demo.

Hi Kaycee! how lovely to see another sunshine coast face! ;D

I have used my thermy every single day since it arrived

A) because it's handy and very quick!
and
B) because i promised myself that I would use it frequently and thus justify the investment! ;)

Yesterday i made three dishes in the thermy, butter cake from EDC, a converted zucchini muffin recipe & a converted sausage pasta dish. when I say converted i mean I just played trial and error not actually converted in writing lol. Today I am pretty busy so will probably just stick to a coleslaw and tomorrow i have promised dd to try TM playdough.

My advice is to not be intimidated by it and don't be afraid to try things, just use a light touch  ;)

best of luck, can't wait to talk to you more!

Lisa

Hi Kaycee,
You won't regret it! I was feeling like OMG "what have i done" after i bit the bullet! But i got the reassurance i needed of here (the forum) and well one week on after "thermy" arriving I can honestly tell you "I love him"!
Where did you first see Thermy down there? (I am up north) I first heard of him through the "like chocolate for Women" girls. I went to one of their workshops at Maroochydore and the thermomix ladies were there. I met Margaret and Angelina from Thermomix, did you have either of those Ladies as a consultant? Have you heard of Fleur and Kim. "like chocolate for women girls"
I will be suprised if you haven't! I LOVE the sunshine coast. My good friend lives at Buderim. She has had a demo also and is still waiting to place her order (she is saving the pennies).
Hope you don't have to wait too long! I have been going great guns with Thermy, he is soooo easy to use!
I am sure you will find it the same!
Cheers

Hi Mum23, first read about the thermie in Cyndi O'Mearas books Changing Habits, Changing Lives, and wanted one.  I booked the demo, then cancelled because of the cost.  18 months along, I went to here Cyndi speak last Monday night, and the thermie was there.  I came home and rang the next morning to book my demo.  I have actually ordered it. so it will be here 2 weeks before my demo.  There is a cooking class on here (on the coast) today, but I am in bed sick, so can't make it.

Thats not good to hear Kaycee. Hope you are feeling better soon. Lucky your Thermy hasn't arrived yet! You don't want to be in bed sick when you get him!

That was bad timing Kaycee, cooking classes don't come along that often. Get well soon.

Thanks, yeah all good now.  What a dreadfull weekend.  DH, DS, myself & M & D all sick with a vomiting bug, and it was my twins 30th party.  We went for a tiny bit, couldn't eat and hurried home to bed.  Very bad timing.  Anyway now its time to think about Thermie.  Delivery should be tomorrow, hopefully!!  I am going to spend today dreaming about it and trying to decide what to make first.  Mashed potatoes? Curry? Ice cream?  decisions, decisions.

Oh *phew* there are a couple more Sunny coasters aboard... I can breathe a bit.

Welcome!  :D
