This is so basic, but soooo delicious!! Serve it with pieces of fruit on a platter. Use wooden skewers or cocktail forks. Provide guests with a little plate of their own to place their fruit and dip on. Don't forget the marshmallows!
Mars Bar Dip
Serves 4 to 6
Ingredients:
4 Mars Bars
1 carton whipping cream - 250g
3 Tbsp Liqueur - I have used Frangelico, Tia Maria, Cointreau all are delicious
Preparation:
Break Mars Bars into pieces and place into
with cream. Mix on 70 degrees/speed 2 until melted and homogeneous. Add liqueur and mix a little more.
Tips/Hints:
Can be prepared in advance and reheated gently in the microwave or over hot water on the stove.
Substitute Toblerone for a classy dip.

sargo - Thanks! I ended up winging it totally! I used ROLOs instead of Mars bars and and just added cream until I felt it was "right". For the adults I also added a good slug of Kahlua. It was an easy treat that went over very well indeed.
JD - I got the kids to make this after the main course today and they did tip the whole 300mls carton of cream in which made it a bit thin for dipping and adhering to the fruit. I think I will cut the cream down to 200mls next time and definitely make it in advance to allow it to firm up. Have tried it since they left and it is a bit thicker now than when hot but I would like it even thicker next time. Yummy though.

MJ this sounds amazing. The fruit part is very healthy too. You could use fondue forks for the dipping-those of us that still have them.

Can anyone tell me how much a "carton" of cream contains. We have 3 sizes here 250 ml, 500 ml and 1 litre. Many thanks.

Rolos would be nice too! Yes, sorry, a 'carton of cream' is meant to be a small carton, 250ml.
You can used thickened cream too, it makes no difference.

A friend made something that sounds very similar to this the othernight. She put it in the fridge to set a bit (overnight l think) and then served it with maltesers as highlights. I know the maltesers is just adding to the badness - but it was delicious. Came home thinking will have to make that one day - and hear is a recipe - magic.
