I'm making this for dinner right now, and guess who forgot the chilli at WW yesterday? :-))
I'm adding 1/2 tsp curry powder instead because thats the closest thing I've got. Hope it works! :-\

Transferring this to Evernote now. I'd forgotten all about it. We caught over 25 very big squid this year and still have a few in the freezer.

We had this for dinner last night. DH and I enjoyed it but DD didn't like it that much, although she had seconds. I think she thinks of squid as grilled. I'll make it again when she is out for dinner.

We had this for entree last night.  It was the first time I'd cooked calamari and it turned out lovely.  I took Mrs KK's suggestion and served it with baby spinach, along with the pasta.  I served it with homemade foccacia.

My DH and our visitors really enjoyed it. Thanks for the recipe JD, it was a hit  :)
(I didn't enjoy it as much as I don't really like seafood, but that's just my personal taste.)

I don't really like it either Katie but sometimes we do things for our DH's because they like it.

We had sausages last night - I am not a lover of them myself but DH's reaction when I put in front of him was 'ooh, snags'.

This is probably a dumb question but is tomato puree the same as tomato passata, or is it tomato paste? Thanks  :)

Tomato purée and passata are muchy muchy,, tomato paste is thicker and more concentrated Bubbles.

I did this with what I thought was calamari in the freezer. Once they had defrosted it turned out to be baby octopus  :o . (note to self - I MUST label everything that goes into the freezer as I will definitely forget what is in that container... :-)) )
Anyhoo, it was nice. Although I think the eyeballs of the not very well cleaned bubby occies put the kids off a bit!  ;D
