and pigs CAN fly
« on: March 06, 2010, 05:41:58 am »
well knock me down with a feather.......  :o :o

I was on my way home from the shops and got a phone call from DH wanting some SR flour and walnuts!!!!
What the....??? :o

Apparently DH had decided that he seeing as we had a couple of over-ripe bananas hanging around he would like to try and cook the banana bread from the EDC!!

Just as well I had pulled over to take the phone call coz I almost fell over with the shock!!! Joyous shock of course!!

Am pleased to say that I didnt interfere (too much), ((apparently I annoyed him enough though)) and he did it all himself. Well, with some help from 3.5yo DD who thinks that 'Daddy can't make cake by himself"!!!
 :-))
Am currently typing this with coffee in hand (so to speak) and a belly full of beautiful Banana bread, iced with some yummy cream cheese icing.

Very pleasing day!!!

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

That's fantastic.  I'll borrow those same pigs after they visit Meagan.  Although DH isn't interesting in cooking, I've noticed he's definitely trying new things that he previously wouldn't eat.  And starting to be interested in healthy ingredients.

Send the pigs my way after you're all done with them please!

Although dh has used the TM once before, if I TOLD him to make something he would and could, but NEVER off his own bat.

Great news KL! Pigs don't fly here, though.... :-\

DH cooks a mean barbie breaky, but that's it.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
