Have sourdough rising at the moment. Here are the Currant, Orange and Polenta  Biscuits I made. If anyone wants my version of the recipe I will post it.

Cookie, they sound like my kind of biscuit...I try to avoid chocolate (migraines) and these sound like they could even be healthy, so I would love to see i=the recipe if it's not too much hassle.

Not much cooking around here this weekend, haven't been home much. Yesterday made CADA for Brekkie & after school fair made a loaf of bread. Today all I've made is chookie's beet root Parmesan & cashew dip, & a raw carrot dip - I'll post the recipe for the latter when I get time. Both were lovely and well received by kids & adults. DD7 has requested boiled eggs for dinner - fine by me, we had a huge lunch!

Day 2 of thermofun was another vienna loaf (definitely a new family favourite), an attempt at hollandaise, some nutella, pineapple sorbet, mashed potatoes and beef stroganoff.

Yum!!
Loving it so far, but wondering if something is up with my eggs as the lemon curd and the hollandaise were both flops (lemon curd didnt set but still tasty, and hollandaise looked like just melted butter)

Jo you probably needed to cook the lemon curd longer.  I have never had a problem with the hollandaise but I think I use Helene's. from superkitchenmachine.com

Thanks! I did put the curd back in for a few mins, but perhaps not long enough. Happy to keep trying and tasting  ;)
Will check for that hollandaise recipe as eggs bene is my fave weekend brunch.  ;D
