Thank you so much everyone. I honestly have no talent when it comes to cakes but enjoy creating something special for the boys. I have two friends who are professional cake makers who offer to do them for me but I LOVE doing my own, warts and all. They must look at mine and see all the mistakes! I love looking back through the years and seeing the cakes my nan made for us so I hope my boys will be the same. Only one problem....having two boys less than two years apart means ideas might run out pretty soon!

Love the cake Brumington, looks brilliant. :)

Might whip up some Anzacs today, maybe a couple other things too. Haven't been very motivated lately. I need to get back on track and onto a routine. :)

So far today I've finished off the feta I made yesterday, made pesto scrolls for breakfast and cream buns for morning tea.  I still need to bake a couple of batches of cookies for morning tea for my daughter for school and the vultures at work since the biscuit barrel has been sent home from work empty. Lunch is going to be nachos and dinner black pepper fettucine (that I made yesterday) with tomato chorizo and garlic sauce.

Emme,  the feta is easy.  I'm lucky and live just up the road from Green Living Australia and I have gradually bought bits and pieces from them over the last few years.  Valerie has a free recipe for feta on her website and they have just released new kits for a heap of different cheeses.  I went to a class with her on Thursday which has renewed my interest.  We made feta, ricotta and 30 minute mozzarella which I used in a lasagne last night.  I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed pottering with that sort of stuff.  I'm hoping that she will run classes in some of the hard and mould cheeses soon.

Amy these are delicious. Didn't have enough zucchini so I used a mix of zucchini, carrot, baby spinach and semi sun dried tomatoes. Thanks again for the recipe. They will go down well at our picnic.
