Sounds good to me Amanda.  Feel sorry for us though - we had non-footy people visit us so could only have it on in the background until they went home at the end of the third quarter.  At least got to watch the last quarter with the volume turned on  - how exciting was that final!  Everyone asks why I didn't tape it to watch later but I don't do that - if I can't watch something live I very, very rarely stick a tape in as I don't seem to be able to find the time to then sit down and watch it.

It's on replay on one of the tv stations at the moment Judy - I don't follow footy so turned it off! :-))

Well!!  Some people ...!!?
We always share the day with the same friends.  Their phone rang half way into the first quarter and my friend was astonished to think that someone would phone during the Grand Final!! :D

For dinner we steamed some sausages and vegies in the Varoma while steaming potatoes in the basket for good ol' Bangers and Mash night.
That would produce nice lean but moist sausages I would guess?  I usually use the grill/press but hate (repeat hate) cleaning it >:(.  Where does any fat run to?  Do you prick the sausages?  Any other tricks?  (We're sausage lovers - only good quality ones)

No special tricks. Just lay the sausages along the bottom with space between them to let the steam through. Don't prick them or turn them, and yes they are lovely and moist. Sometimes the skin can start to come off and it's fairly easy to peel off when fresh out of the varoma if you wish.
We don't have them very often, but find as I do with most meat that it's less fatty or oily steamed and easier to eat.  The juices just drip down and go into the water below (and in this case probably a bit over the potatoes, but couldn't see any on them when I went to mash them.

Would never have thought to do this with sausages ILB.  Don't have them very often at all as I prefer them on the BBQ than cooked inside but when your DH orders sausages on a hotel menu for lunch, you realise you had better give them to him sometimes at home :-)) :-)) :-))

Another slack day today. We had a Model A rally. So it's another pasta dish tonight as I'm tired and even a bit sunburned.

We had Trudy's tuna noodle dish tonight and I don't think he remembered having it a while back ??? Gave me another review so didn't have the heart to tell him he has already done that :-)) :-))  Also made a batch of moccha custard and rice pudding - one of us likes a bit of dessert at night, guess who ;) ;)

Only use Bimby to make stuffing for a roast chook for lunch then went to a preview screening of Julie & Julia.

It was good - the chook....  oh , yes, and the movie too - for foodies and bloggers especially

It is so lovely to see the sunshine.  I don't think we have hit 25 yet (perhaps maybe 17 ;D), but we are loving it today too!
