I'm unsure about the orange / mint combination - in fact the sauce generally.  Sounds too sweet for my taste.  But nothing ventured nothing gained, and the goat website seemed quite convinced by it.

Hope they weren't kidding about how nice it is  :P :P :P

I like that combo - can add a little vinegar or lemon juice if too sweet.

It was absolutely yummy.  I'm having the leftovers for lunch today, which I'm looking forward to.  Thanks for the tip on how to de-sweeten a sauce - I'll remember that one, it sounds very useful.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

Had 'the girls' round for lunch today. We had chick pea soup that I made yesterday, a parsley and garlic pull apart bread, beetroot salad, broccoli salad and coleslaw. For sweets we had strawberry foam and coffee to follow. It was substantial enough and with a bottle or two of liquid we had a very pleasant afternoon/evening.
They both commented on how fresh tasting the salads were and were very impressed with 'Termite'.

Yes Shayla please do. I must admit since having my TMX I haven't had an evening of 'what will I cook' but I'm sure it will happen and then I can look through here and see what others are having. Quite often I see things I haven't tried and knowing others are making it gives me the courage to give it a go.

Must say the basil mayo was delicious - couldn't be bothered to pick and wash from the garden as we were rushing so used about a teaspoon frozen basil. This morning we have made another washing powder to try instead of the very messy goo. Now must go and buy fresh yeast to make next weeks bread and cream to replace the ice-cream.

On another forum where I've been a member for about 2 1/2 years, they have a Bake Club challenge every month where someone picks a recipe and we are supposed to make it.  This month it's for a Strawberry Shortcake with a very simple recipe.

I thought I'd do it in the TM (which I did), but I think this recipe would be quicker just doing the normal way.  Turned out okay though, the custard has a hint of orange which is nice and I used my TM made strawberry jam to brush over the  strawberries.

Also made Cookie's Decadent Chocolate Biscuits which were great. (have put photo in the relevant thread).  :)

Sure looks good.  Looks like you might be converting more than recipes on that forum,  ;) ;) :-*

My TMX is feeling a bit lonely. Haven't made much for a while actually.

Thursday night just steamed some vegies to have with left overs, then some patty cakes as we HAD to have "Fairy Wing Fluffies" (aka butterfly cakes) to share at Daycare on Friday  :-)) :-)) - I'm about over The Fairies!!!  :-X Then Jeanie was packed away ready to go to the Shepparton Show where it did it's bit as a spare behind the counter and then we've been out or eating left overs...

So today is the day to get Jeanie back out and get her back into shape. Today's plan (I'm child free so ready to spend the whole day cooking  ;D )
- Speedy Spelt Bread
- Cape Seed Bread (the old version. DD won't eat the new version  >:( )
- Raison (or Tan-ana) bread - steamed
- Sausage Rolls
- Biscuits (maybe convert my favourite Anzac recipe)
- Rice/Almond Milk
- JD's Chicken Cacciatore
- JD's Chicken and Veggie  Soup to have in the freezer
- And something out of the Indian Cookbook - perhaps Chicken and Spinach Curry as I have spinach coming out my ears at the moment.
- Another batch of Turkish Bread....

If I get through that list I'll be happy. Plus I need to confirm the venue for the next Wangaratta cooking class, shopping, cleaning, ironing, bookwork... somehow I think I need another holiday  ???

If you can do all that in a day ILB, you deserve a medal as well as the holiday ;D ;D ;D   My poor little 'Rowdy' is sitting there, all neglected and jealous of the attention the baby is getting at the moment.  3 and a bit more days (not that I'm counting ;) ;)) Then he goes to his other grand-parents for their 5 day stint. Think he is going to be one poor, little confused boy by the time his parents return next Sunday.

He better be because during his waking hours, he gets my full-on attention. Good thing DH is not demanding as he is the one being neglected at the moment but he is with me all the way on this one and when GS is a bit grizzly he does all sorts of things to amuse him so that I can sit back and have a break & enjoy a cup of coffee. I have never had so many early nights in my life and this morning I managed to wake before he did.
