Thanks Thermomixer, we have an Angus & Robertson shop in our town, so will have a look for it next time I'm there.  :)

Judy, I've earmarked those 2 recipes for next week because of your review.  I think reviews are great, can really motivate me to try some things I may not ordinarily do, or might have missed.  :D

Too true JulieO - I'm the same. To be honest, it was hard to get people to do reviews on this forum (which I could never understand) but things are rolling along perfectly now and everyone is cooking & reviewing which means more people will be cooking and reviewing if you see what I mean.

I made a tuna pasta dish which I converted and some rum balls. Will post the recipes asap.

I'm not cooking anything today.
Lying in bed with the daughters lap top on my lap and a pounding sinus head. :(
Hoping that it will go away as we have to get on a plane and fly to Perth tomorrow.

Might need some cranial adjustments to help relieve the pressure before your plane trip.  Hope it's not tooth problems like brazen !!

Amanda, you poor thing. I hope it improves before the flight. I'm sure you could get something to help if you need it. It's lovely weather here at the moment so that may help. Welcome to/back to WA.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts, folks.  I'm not usually such a big sook!! :-))
I have dragged myself out of my very comfy bed and had a steamy shower which has slightly improved things.  I am also taking every sinus drug I can lay my hands on to try to relieve the congestion behind my eyes.
I haven't been to Perth for 12 years, but the sheer thought of the effort involved in organizing 3 teens, 2 dogs, 6 chooks and a small herd of Black Angus cattle for a few days is pretty overwhelming!
Still, the comforts of staying in a nice hotel should ease my suffering somewhat!! ;)

You will notice a few changes in the 12 years.  Enjoy the hotel and being spoiled.

I love Perth.  Although, thinking about it, it's 20 years since I was last there  :o :o  Hope you're feeling better soon, and can enjoy your trip.  There's nothing like a cold for making you feel sorry for yourself!!

Today I've made bread, scones with cranberries, mint sauce, 'what's lying around in the fridge' soup, and steamed veg for evening meal.  Now considering whether I can be bothered to clean up a bowl and make the Gebrannt Mandeln.

As cleaning a bowl really isn't that hard, you can probably hear that I'm starting to come down with a cold too  ;D ;D  I hope I shake it off, as I'm always completely pathetic when I have a cold, wallowing in disgusting self-pity!  :P :-))

As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

So you make that soup too, Thermomixer!  I see you know the general ingredient rules :D ;)

Well, I can't be that bad 'cos I did manage to get myself to deal with the bowl, and have made the Gebrannt Mandel - and in my case, Gebrannt Erdnuss too!  As is all too often the case with me, I enthusiastically began the recipe without checking that I do actually have all the ingredients.  Turned out I only had a few almonds in the cupboard, so the rest was made up with peanuts.  Still tastes nice, though  ;D

Hi everyone
I haven't been around for a bit and TMX has been quiet too, other than a few basics.  I've just finished uni last week, and feeling extremely tired and worn out, sore throat etc, so having a few days away from work, just resting etc.

Today though I think I might make 2kg of chicken breasts in to TMX'ers chicken croquettes as we are loving having these in the freezer.  The girls love them and they are great for an easy meal with some TMX coleslaw etc.  I freeze breadcrumbs in little snap lock bags to pull out to coat them.  Easy peasy healthy meal!

I've got 2 kg of mince here too, will need to deal with that in various ways.

Have a great day everyone!
