Maddie the cakes look amazing and I'm sure they were well received. Great that there was also a proposal.

Frozzie, I'm also tired just hearing what you made.

Not much cooking here at the moment and haven't even had ingredients for a smoothie so the TMX hasn't been touched  :(

Made 2 batches of washing machine detergent, then got busy making my gifts for the goodie bags for the retreat this weekend.  Then I used "maddys mums meat slice" recipe for filling for what my kids call "pocket pies", but are really just cheats pasties.  I cut a sheet of puff pastry into 4, load on the filling, fold it over and seal the edges with a fork.  Works well with any filling.  And now have a batch of apple, almond and maple muffins (Lousie Fulton Keats book) in the oven.  They smell great!

And tonight I am going to have a go at making yoghurt in my new yoghurt maker - thanks Wonder  :-* :-*

Maddy, your cakes are amazing.  You are one very talented lady.  :)

KarenH, those pasties look so tasty.

Today I made some cinnamon crisp biscuits and little savoury pastries.

You're very talented maddy, the swirls you do for the roses are just so professional and you have an eye for detail

Lovely cupcakes (as usual) Maddy  :)

Today I felt like something different for lunch that the girls would like too, so mixed a bit of this and a bit of that together and cooked it, and ended up with some very yummy salmon quiche like muffins... now just wish I had of recorded what I did so I could do them again  :P  :-)) And as an added bonus, the girls did indeed like them and had seconds...then thirds! :D

The baking bug hit me this afternoon so I made bread, bread rolls, JD's Anzac biscuits ( which I almost burnt as I cooked them at 180C instead of 150C - I was a little distracted as I had 8 kids here after school) and CP's date crumble slice.  I was going to make another batch of biscuits because half of the Anzacs got eaten, but I ran out of time and turned my attention to making the garlic prawn risotto we had for dinner ;)

thank you  :)....it was worth the hours of melting chocolate, glittering and fondant shaping....she was very greatful.

Do you decorate your cupcakes in the muffin tray? How do you lift them out without accidents?

no I don't....it was the best way of transporting them in the boot of my car.   I have commercial 24 space cupcake trays, and I sat the trays on silicone mats....they didn't move at all  ;).  Getting them out wasn't too hard as I didn't ice them to the edges.
The gun mould didn't turn up until the day before, so it was a rush to get those done with enough time to harden....thank god for CMC to add to fondant!
DD had the honour of holding the giant cupcake on the way in....although once I put the air conditioner on, she was blasted with a shower of glitter  ;D....she sparkled LOL.

Karen....I love the pocket pie concept  8)
