Oh poor you. Yes get an oven check. Not nice. I just think it is decietful not to label meat correctly. I hate it when they think consumers are stupid.

Well have just popped this in the oven, and it smells like heaven already!

Its a cake that I have been wanting to make for ages, fantastic blog Alicia has set up! This chocolate cake is made with biscuits, very quick and easy, and apparently can be made with apples instead of choc too! Will let you all know and post it in the cake section for you to try out!

I'm trying brons garlic rice, made the parmesan nut roast, and do some halloween baking for the school. The fingers are ready....the moldy feet later.

Gross! What are they made of? I am hoping you will post the recipe and tell us how you did it.

Awesomely awful - we seem to be getting more kids tramping around demanding treats - these would be great.  America is coming to Australia.

Love those gruesome fingers  :) I bought some Halloween decorations and some special eyeball lollies. Something clicked in me now that my kids are out of that stage that its just a lot of fun! Now I am hoping that we get lots of little kids coming to the door trick or treating. Roll on Halloween  ;D Aarrrooooooooo  (thats meant to be a wolf howl)

Thank you  :-*.  There are more pics on my blog. I'm going to copy it later. Just make a yeast dough, divide it in 3 equal parts. Dye one with 1 tsp. spirulina powder, the other with cacao powder and  :: each dough another minute. Form the fingers, they will rise, place a half almond, cut knuckles and bake for 12 min or until done. I had to take the almonds off, since the school is nutfree and melted some chocolate with coconut oil.......I don't like Halloween  8)

I'm afraid I don't really like Halloween either. I have a couple of very elderly friends who live by themselves and find it quite traumatic. I know it sounds silly but it does upset them, especially when some of the little darlings egg their windows.

I always get some goodies for the kids that doorknock, but if they are young always ask 'is Mum or Dad with you?' A couple of teenagers my DH taught tried to egg our place many years ago (in a country town)-they wished they hadn't! (he wasn't violent)

I don't agree with the egging, and I can see why elderly people would be scared if they are used to being left in peace. I just like the excitement of the little kids, and they just love dressing up and seeing what your reaction is when you answer the door. When I see the bigger kids 15ish, its not so cute - and they are the ones that will do the egging. Our house was egged once too, and now I never forget to buy lollies on Halloween  ;)

I have the lollies out for tonight. We had a visit from 2 little ones down the road about 1 pm with their Dad as they go to bed early, so they got first choice of what was on offer.
I agree with the excitement CP63, I'm like that about Christmas.

Me too Kathryn. I wake up ages before anyone else and creep (ha ha ha) around slamming cupboards etc and they still won't get up!

Have just taken some spinach and fetta scrolls out of the oven, they look lovely. Last night I made the Citrus Mascarpone Tart that won one of the monthly challenges. It is really nice and is quick and trouble free to make.
