Omg... that sounds delicious!!!!  I am going to keep DH in the dark about that one too I think lol

We had the meatballs in tomato sauce with garlic rice... I'm thinking about the choc & avo thing now heehee

I made some custard and almond scrolls today. I used the brioche recipe and rolled it out, spread it with custard (from the TMX) and sprinkled flaked almonds over it and a tiny few sultanas and a sprinkle of brown sugar as I put very little sugar in the custard. I rolled it up and cut it into 12, put them on a tray and 15 minutes later Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Yummm, that sounds like the basis of the pecan custard danish I have to try soon.  The holidays are going to be busy!  Is the brioche recipe here somewhere on in EDC?  Want to try one that works.

I LOVE the brioche dough out of the EDC - it is soo soft and silky - lovely to work.  ;)

Oh Yum Cookie, the scrolls sound wonderful, wish there was a photo!  :D

Did you use the custard recipe from the EDC or did you make a thicker one?

Wish I hadn't read this now.  >:(    :D

Yesterday I made Prawns in spicy gravy from the link below,  was very nice, but I did cut down the cooking time as I thought 15 mins for prawns was too long.  I luckily had some of the red curry paste from EDC in my freezer so it made it easier.

I'm doing some more today, so may attempt a photo. The brioche is from the EDC and the custard is from the EDC too but I only use 50g of sugar. They were made in a rush as I wanted to take something to a friends place. I even had to put the custard into the freezer to cool it a bit so that I could use it! They are 'fun' to put on the tray but taste really nice, not overly sweet.

I seem to have this thing at the moment about different types of scrolls. Kathryn started my thoughts off with her cheesy mite ones.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Haven't been doing much cooking lately, mostly salads, but did make baked lime and passionfruit cheesecake yesterday which I shall post. hopefully this weekend will do some more cooking

Mmmm, I love scrolls, too, but they love my hips! :-\
I made spicy applesauce muffins this morning and started a bolognese sauce off in the TM, which I have now transferred to the slow cooker for a 6 hour cook!

I haven't posted in here for ages!!
Today was veg stock concentrate, a quick convert of mums shepherds pie recipe, mash potato to go on top, ILB's choc cake for DH to take to morning tea tomorrow and the icing to go on top  :o I am tired LOL!! Plus lots of study/reading of the TMX consultant manual  ;) does that count?

Busy day today, been out all day so not much cooking....did get to Kitchen Warehouse though  ;D ;D Bought bread tins, though they are only the small ones. I think 1 1/2 times the TMX dough will make the two tins. Not many of us home for dinner tonight so made Pasta with Tuna from the EDC book

Kathryn - I went to KW in Cockburn the other week and was dissappointed as they only had the small bread tins with lids .  I asked one of the staff there and she said that she didn't think they came in a larger size. 
Do you have larger sized ones with lids and did you get them from KW?  I have been meaning to go over the threads with bread discussion, as I think someone listed a site to get them from (?might have been Gretchen?).
