You have been busy Arcadia.
I have a sourdough loaf rising. It is very slow but that is fine. It has all day. I must also make something for either the cake tin, or biscuit barrel. It will probably be Snappy's lunchbox cookies, they are delicious.

Yes, often Suzanne. Especially when other things in life take over. I just don't worry about it anymore. I keep reading the forum and then one day I will see something that really grabs me and I will make it. Don't worry, just keep the family fed and hang in there.

I think we all get in a rut Suzanne, that's perfectly normal.  Remember we are women and women work their butts off generally so of course we get sick of doing every task imaginable.  Even after a holiday it is sometimes hard to get your mojo back, we just need something to trigger that need to cook again and it could be something as simple as Cookie mentioned.  Go with the flow and it will come back soon.

I cooked for my kids when I went to Sydney these past few days. Luckily there was a TM, but apart from that I missed all my odds and bods in the drawers, and a bit of this and that that I've got in the pantry. Whenever I made something I had to go out and buy every single ingredient. DS fridge light nearly blinded me when I arrived  :-)) Back home tonight we're having some of Halex lamb rub on some chops, and a salad. Have some muffins and chilli bread lined up for tomorrow...

Why? Are they complaining?

Thanks ladies, I did do them over a week or so.  As custard and crème anglaise is so easy to make now, egg whites are always waiting to be made into something so macarons it was.

What does everyone else use leftover egg whites for?

I am more of a savoury person then sweet person.

I was in a cooking rut before the TMX came, is like a new toy at the moment.  I cook for men so cooking gets a bit mundane and repetitive and boring.

Slowly getting my mojo back and starting to full thefreezer with options for quick after work fixes (im starting a new job on Monday and am working an extra day so trying to get organised)...
Spag bol made by using Alyce's vegetable Bolognaise lasagne from QFITT.
Started soaking quinoa and mushrooms for Tenina's Quinoa & Mushroom lasagne, just about to start Chilli con carne then decided I was too tired. So that will go on tomorrow's list with home made tinned spaghetti and fried rice :)

Arcadia, here's some ideas for leftover egg whites other than freezing them for when you do come across a recipe yourself.

Chookie's Italian Hazelnut Cookies

Greyhoundmum's Raspberry & White Chocolate Friands

Thermominoux's Amaretto Biscuits

CateA's Lemon & Blueberry Friands

Bron's Rice Pudding Ice-cream

Nigel's Chocolate Pots

My Healthy Carrot & Dried Cherry Slice

Thermomixer's Banana Freeze

BlissfulE's Heavenly Angel Food Cake uses heaps

Chookie's Walnut Date Brownies

That should be enough to keep you busy for a while arcadia but then there is always a pavlova or almond bread too.
