Today I am going to make some purees - baby A's pediatrician has advised starting her on solids to help her reflux problem.  :-\

How old is Bub now Astarra.

I made 2 lots of puff pastry this morning, ready for dinner :)
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

Astarra, did the same with my daughter, same problem.  She is now 42, runs 1/2 marathons and is intelligent.  Doesn't seem to have done her any harm.  Most people were shocked and horrified when I did it.

I took Lily to a chiropractor firstly when she was about 5 weeks old she hated the car,  pram and anything where she was laying and then again when she was about 3.5/4 months to help her reflux and it helped immensely both times

Today made rye loaf, Farfallinas
Sour Dough fruit and nut loaf.  This was an experiment as I took the starter out of fridge and used it cold.  1 rise,  took 7 hours to double.  Seems good as normally I would feed it an wait 7 hours to be fully active.

I made butter, then buttermilk scones from the EDC.
I had bananas to use up so I made a variation of these Banana and Blueberry Muffins using frozen raspberries instead of blueberries, and I creamed butter and sugar together instead of using oil and honey. I baked them in silicone cases and they popped out cleanly. They are not too sweet and really tasty.

I then made a lasagne, but managed to make the top very dark and crispy, although I am denying that it is burnt!  ;)
Beauty is only fur deep.....

Great bread everyone.

I have just made Quirky Jos Spanish Rice using Quinoa. First time I have cooked/eaten/used Quinoa. Its really good. Have had it in the cupboard for ages........
Now what to put with it ???

The bread looks great and Hally I like the sound of that quoina dish. I made a roast vegetable and quoina salad today using Jo's cooking instructions. I've never had quoina before and it's quite nice and I would really like to use it more often.

Emme,  that is great.  Looks nice and crusty.  I think we all have trouble deciding what size tin.  I have a tin that expands,  very handy.  I think if you have a cast iron pot with lid,  this same recipe would give you a loaf 1/2 as big again.   Have fun playing with the starter. 

I make a very nice dish based on "high energy rise and quinoa",  it is a pilaf.  I roast some pumpkin cubes, cook onion , garlic and fresh ginger, then some coriander.  Fold through the rice when cooked and sprinkle with pumpkin seeds.  Can add some greens such as Kale or Spinach.  Makes an excellent side.  I think I have posted the recipe on the Forum.
